Havens Room (note—this is NOT in the CTLA conference room!)

Do you want an easier way to see what journals in your research subject are available electronically in library databases and in print?

Would you like a faster way to find the full-text of an article noted in a bibliography or citation?

Would you like to do a quick search across multiple library databases to find the latest information on your subject?

Are you interested in a quick and easy way to create and manage a list of articles for your students in Oncourse so they can access the full-text with just a click?

How about a Firefox plug-in that lets you search IUCAT, journals, and multiple library databases in the toolbar?  It also searches book titles, authors, citations, and keywords in the text of Web pages that you view with just a click.

The library world has changed dramatically in the last year.  Come and see what the latest library tools can do to save you time in your research.

Coffee, tea, and cookies will be provided. Sponsored by the CTLA and the Center For Research and Creative Activity.

New Titles

A monthly list of materials added to the Library is sorted by collection location and call number to allow you to browse materials recently added to the Library collections.  The list includes all types of materials including books, government publications, ejournals, and media materials.  New materials as well as older materials added to the collection are included on the new titles list.  This list is not inclusive and tends to not include many of the electronic journals.

Library Assessment Report

The 2007 Indiana University Kokomo Library Assessment Report has been submitted to the campus Assessment Committee for review. The librarians generally interpret the results of the assessment as positive reflections of the library’s service, information control and as a place to study and do research. The assessment did point to a couple of areas in which the library can be better and we are already working towards making those improvements.

Some pieces of the assessment will be used in developing the upcoming General Education Curriculum’s Information Literacy goal and outcomes.
